Job Description

Job Summary
This position ensures the health and wellbeing of students by addressing medical needs administering medication and responding to healthrelated emergencies in the absence of the regular school nurse.
Job Responsibilities
The Substitute School Nurse is responsible for assessing and providing basic healthcare services to students and staff. Duties include administering first aid managing chronic conditions dispensing medication per physician orders and maintaining health records. The nurse collaborates with school administrators teachers and parents to promote student health and safety while adhering to Archdiocesan policies and state health regulations.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a school pediatric or community health setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical emergencies
- Compliance with Archdiocesan policies and background check requirements
