Position Description:
CGI is one of the worlds largest IT and business consulting services firms working closely with clients to provide innovative and tailored technology solutions. We are hiring multiple Senior JAVA Developers and Tech Leads for a major client in the banking industry. This is a unique opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects in a dynamic environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain robust and highperforming Java applications.
Collaborate with architecture testing and operations teams to ensure quality and stability of delivered solutions.
Analyze business needs and propose suitable solutions.
Optimize performance and maintain existing applications.
Mentor and support junior team members.
Ensure adherence to best development practices and security standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong expertise in Core JAVA Spring Boot Hibernate Kafka SQL Server and Cloud (Azure or AWS).
Experience with Java concepts multithreading and objectoriented programming.
Experience with microservicebased architecture and database integration.
Experience implementing messagedriven communication using Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Currently residing in Canada.
Comfortable speaking English.
Ability to work in a hybrid mode 2 days per week at a CGI office).
Nicetohave (Assets/Plus):
Experience with RESTful APIs development using Spring Boot.
Proficiency with Git (GitHub / BitBucket).
Experience in an Agile development environment.
Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
Experience in the banking or financial sector.
