WHAT IS ECONOMIC CONSULTING
Economic consulting involves using economic theories quantitative methods and data analysis to address legal and business challenges. RESEARCH ANALYST INTERN COMPETITION
We are seeking an intellectually curious team player with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our Rome office as a Research Analyst Intern for a fixedterm contract (FTC) of initially 3 months. This internship will support our Competition practice where you will collaborate closely with senior consulting staff and leading industry experts on highprofile cases.
About the Role
As a Research Analyst Intern you will play an integral role in project teams contributing to complex economic and financial analyses related to competition matters. You will gain handson experience in economic consulting and develop practical skills in data analysis modelling and research.
Typical Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of reports presentations and other client deliverables.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative research to support expert analysis in competition cases.
- Applying economic modelling techniques to address realworld challenges.
- Using software (such as Stata R Python or Excel) to analyse datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Reviewing and summarising academic literature and industry trends to contextualise findings.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Will have completed a masters degree in economics or a quantitative discipline with strong academic performance.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Basic experience with data analysis tools such as Excel Stata R or Python
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian (fluency in another European language is a plus).
- A proactive detailoriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
