About the role:
As US Director of Sales your primary responsibility is to achieve personal sales targets and to lead and oversee the sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Your role involved developing and implementing sales strategies managing a team of sales professionals and building strong relationships with OpsGuru Carbon60 customers in the US.
What youll be doing:
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the companys goals and objectives
- Analyze US market trends customer needs and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business expansion
- Set sales targets and quotas and create sales forecasts and budgets on a quarterly basis
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with US customers
Team Management and Leadership
- Recruit train and mentor a highperforming sales team
- Set clear sales targets and provide coaching and guidance to team members
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to encourage teamwork and achievement of sales goals
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Identify training and development needs and organize relevant training programs
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Understand customers needs and objectives and provide tailored solutions and recommendations
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients offering expertise and industry insights
- Conduct regular client meetings presentations and negotiations
- Resolve escalated customer issues or concerns in a timely manner
Sales Operations and Reporting
- Implement and optimize sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics sales pipelines and KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to the executive team highlighting achievements challenges and opportunities
- Utilize HubSpot to track sales activities manage customer data and generate accurate forecasts
Collaboration and CrossFunctional Support
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing operations and finance to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral promotional materials and campaigns
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to the product team for continuous improvement of services and offerings
Your skills and experience:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic solutions selling within the managed hosting and outsourced IT industry.
- Proven track record in prospecting qualifying and closing sales opportunities using a disciplined sales approach.
- Extensive experience in the cloud hosting industry particularly with AWS and a deep understanding of related technologies.
- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams developing market strategies and achieving revenue targets in a senior management or executive role.
Industry Knowledge:
- Indepth knowledge of and interest in the cloud hosting landscape including emerging trends and technologies.
- A trusted network of relationships with companies that offer services complementary to our solutions such as application development IT outsourcing and cloudbased solutions.
- Strategic insight into aligning product offerings with client needs and market demands.
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead mentor and expand a sales team fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership presence capable of driving strategic sales plans and initiatives at an executive level.
- Experience in organizational leadership and stakeholder management with the ability to influence Clevel decisions.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional communication presentation listening and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to forge trusted relationships with clients stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to effectively communicate strategic vision and operationalize sales strategies to diverse audiences.
Operational Competence:
- Highly organized with a proven capability to multitask effectively in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfortable working with crossfunctional teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with company goals.
