Job Function:The principal shall serve as the educational leader of the staff and school
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate Masters Degree in School Administration or a related field and possess be willing to obtain a School Administrator certification.
- Five years of educational experience. School administration preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom teaching ability.
- Experience supervising and evaluating staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and ability to develop implement and evaluate instructional curricula.
- Demonstrated knowledge of State Content Standards and Benchmarks Literacy Essentials PSAT SAT MSTEP/MME NWEAWork Keys and the local board adopted curriculum.
- Classroom assessment and analysis data driven instruction and decisionmaking and State/Federal funding sources (Title I II 31a 31n etc..
- Focus on student achievement 612 curricular development alignment and implementation with data accountability and reporting to determine existing and future programming.
- Further duties/responsibilities will be determined by the Superintendent and Board of Education based upon the candidates talents experiences abilities.
