Saturday and Sunday Afternoon Shift.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager this role is responsible for effective and efficient daily operation of the Runo area in service of Supply Chains overall goals of delivering customer orders on time and in full safely in compliance with Quality standards and efficiently.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions covering the tasks relating to the positions function as outlined in the departments quality manual in accordance with Griffith Management System requirements.
  • Ensures that GMP/HACCP/GMS standards are met both personally and departmentally.
  • Ensures all CCP checks are done at the required frequency and fills out HACCP sheet legibly & accurately.
  • Follows HACCP allergen protocols and changeovers.
  • Follows all procedures to reduce NCRs and customer complaints.
  • Participates in root cause analysis of customer complaints and NCRs.
  • Sets up equipment as per set up sheet and operates PLC controls.
  • Trouble shoots equipment and resolves set up issues to reduce downtime.
  • Tracks all downtime and collaborates with maintenance crew to reduce downtime.
  • Follows schedule and ensures orders are shipped ON TIME IN FULL.
  • Constantly watches to make sure equipment is operating properly and notifies Team Leader or Mechanic if necessary.
  • Weigh and measures ingredients into pouches. Check weighs according to standard procedures.
  • Loads pallets with finished product and moves skid to staging area.
  • Checks power lift truck and ensures that it is in safe operating condition.
  • Identifies problems and corrects if possible or escalates to the area team leader.
  • Enters production information into Baan in a timely manner.
  • Verifies own work as follows:
    • Material matches description on travel card/order copy.
    • Weights are as specified.
    • Packaging and labels are as specified.
    • Pallet patterns are as specified/follow SID.
  • Participates in Lean manufacturing projects Kaizen events other duties or tasks that may be assigned as required.
  • Ensures the health safety cleanliness and security of the work environment.
  • Ensures compliance with all product safety legality and quality requirements.
  • Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures.

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

This is a safety sensitive position and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSHapproved fitted respirator (N95 or an approved alternative. Successful candidates will be required to go through appropriate fittesting and will be required to wear an N95 while performing their duties.
