The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a broad range of experience levels to include Lead (Level 4 and Senior (Level 5 Structural Design Engineers to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Bombers (B1 and/or B52 programs.
Position Responsibilities (Level 4:
- Develops integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
- Develops maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups production operations suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Leads performance integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Manages supplier development test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Works under minimal direction.

- Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.
- Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Works under consultative direction.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- 10 years of experience in mechanical and/or structural design
- 10 years of experience creating executing reviewing and managing structural design models
- 10 years of experience working conceptual preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
- 10 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- 10 years of experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5 SolidWorks Siemens NX)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance
- Experience validating or verifying structural models
- Strong written verbal communications and presentation skills
- Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures secondary structures interior payloads
- Experience with analytical communication and problemsolving skills
