Job Description

The Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of IFG Services demonstrating strong leadership abilities a comprehensive understanding of all department processes and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Train coach evaluate performance and counsel new and existing team members on job responsibilities safety work practices and company policies.
  • Manage Planning and Scheduling and Repair & Maintenance (R&M) work.
  • Oversee the development and maintain detailed production schedule based on customer order and inventory levels.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand material availability and production capacity
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure schedules are feasible and align with overall manufacturing goals.
  • Liaise with procurement logistics and production teams to coordinate production activities.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of disruptions on production schedules.
  • Produce job packets including Bill of Materials (BOM) work instructions quality control checks equipment setup and calibration traceability information and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop product routes based on customer design for cost effective manufacturing. Estimate accurate operation sequence setup and run times.
  • Oversee detailed and competitive quotes for clients based on cost estimates ensuring accuracy and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cost estimation and scheduling processes using new tools and methodologies.
  • Maintain detailed records of cost estimates quotes and related communications for future reference and analysis.
  • Visit IFG Mill Sites to increase work orders and sales.
  • Conduct risk assessments and technical reviews on assigned quotes with support from the review team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations policies and procedures.
  • Schedule crew including overtime projects vacations absences etc.
  • Proactive leadership that fosters teamwork and enhances IFG culture and standards
  • Organize program for cross training of employees to maintain consistent production levels
  • Assist upper management with establishing shop metrics and maintain regular communication.
  • Create update and oversee adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain clean organized department and plant site
  • Responsible for accurate timekeeping.
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • 5 years of experience in fabrication machining and construction
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and delegating appropriately.
  • Effective working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in MS Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test postoffer preemployment physical and background check.

PAY RANGE:$80000 $110000 Depending on Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift reach with hands and arms stoop squat bend at the waist kneel walk varying distance and climb stairs.

  • Repetitive use of hands frequent for clerical duties

  • Vision near and far correctable; depth perception
  • Hearing preferred for awareness of surrounding machinery mobile equipment emergencies

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to tolerate all weather elements loud conditions airborne particles (sawdust).
