General InformationBeds: 30Minimum years of experience: 3 yearsWill accept a firsttime traveler YesTravelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staffPermanent address must be 50 miles away from facilityPatient Types:Medical Surgical Telemetry:Afib/RVR CHF Chest pain r/o Acute Coronary Syndrome post Cath Lab with TR BandsSurgical overflow Abdominal GeneralGeneral: Sepsis PNA Stroke DKA COVIDPatient Ratios:RN:Days 1:56Nights 1:6CNA: 23 per 30 patientsRequired Certifications:BLSACLSNIHSSSkills required:Tele RN requiredTraveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance prior to arrival (includes MedSurg RN)Cardiac experience lead placement cardiac strip analysis/interpretation Nontitrating Cardiac gtts (Dopamine Cardizem Primacor Amio Dobutamine Lasix Insulin)Support on the Unit:Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignmentPhlebotomy peripheral blood draws onlyIV/VAT Team for PICC/Midline placementHouse Supervisor 24/7; PCCRT 24/7Hospitalist available 24/7OT PT STCharting System/Equipment:EMR: Meditech ExpanseIV Pumps: AlarisMedication dispensing: Pyxis Floating:Possibly to comparable unitsIn rotation with perm staffOrientation:2 Hospital and 2 on unitScheduling:Weekend rotation: Every otherWill work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week this is mandatoryCan we approve time off Up to 7 days must extend contract for any full weeks of RTONo callHoliday Expectations: Expected to work if falls on scheduled rotation
