Reporting to the Director HR Business Partnership (Retail) the Business Partner for Retail is a trusted advisor to senior leaders provides expert advice and guidance integrates HR strategy and programming to the business and enables resolution of complex issues. By leveraging creativity balancing risk and influencing stakeholders the Business Partner enables workforce planning talent and change management organizational design and labour/employee relation outcomes so that the client can achieve results.

About the Role

  • Workforce Planning: Participates in enterprisewide business planning and transformation processes to meet future workforce needs. Drives leaders to embrace innovation and workforce optimization.
  • Organizational Design: Consults recommends influences and enables transition to creative solutions that complement workforce planning strategies and meet business needs.
  • Talent Management: Brings our talent programs and values to life ensuring the effective use of talent and enabling an agile adaptable and highly competent workforce. Is the expert resource on talent within client divisions.
  • Change Management: Creates a culture of continuous improvement to earn trust and enable transparency. Advises on change opportunities and requirements to realize our People Strategy and business objectives.
  • Labour & Employee Relations: Understands legislative and collective agreement obligations to advise on workforce planning organizational design talent management and change management in a way that drives business outcomes and maintains constructive labour relations with our union partners.

About You

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Business Organizational Development or related field
  • 7 years of progressively responsible and related experience in Human Resources including workforce planning talent management change management organizational design and labour/employee relations
  • Experience coaching and consulting leaders about HR matters
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience thinking strategically executing tactically and collaborating across many teams and levels
  • Ability to manage navigate strategically support and manage expectations for multiple stakeholders
  • Retail Knowledge and experience
  • An ability to communicate persuasively with clients and peers
  • A track record of challenging and evolving HR processes that are not adding value
