Organization:
SRMCSutter Roseville Med CenterPosition Overview:
Coordinates hospitalwide infection control program including performance improvement to identify and prevent healthcare associated infections. Plans and coordinates the education of all hospital personnel regarding infection control and prevention practices. Serves as a consultant educator role model and proponent of change to provide quality healthcare. Provides expert consultation and support to patient care delivery and department operations in surveillance infectious disease exposure response data collection data analysis interpretation and reporting inspection control measures education evaluation recommendations performance improvement and evaluating compliance for practices that are associated with prevention and control of healthcareassociated infections.Job Description:
Education Requirement: Bachelors degree in Health Management Public Health Epidemiology Nursing or closely related field.
Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience as an Infection Preventionist Epidemiologist or closely related occupation.
Alternate Education and Experience Requirement: N/A
Special Requirements:
- Knowledge of microbiology epidemiology statistical analysis standards and technology of patient care infectious disease sterilization and sanitation and disinfection practices.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulatory accrediting and advisory body requirements.
- Experience interacting with all levels of healthcare personnel in healthcare facilities.
- Experience interacting with public health services at the local state and national level as well as the Centers for Disease Control and prevention.
- aIPC certified (Associate Infection Prevention and Control)
Shift/weekend requirements: The position will be a midshift schedule 11am7pm with alternating weekend required.
RATE OF PAY: $62.82 to $82.27 per hour
