Body Shop Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Repair truck body damage.
- Install aftermarket parts.
- Repair damage to vehicles as necessary and within the guidelines established at time of repair approval.
- Interacts with dealership personnel and customers.
- Look for and report any and all hidden damage observed during the repair process.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by thecustomer.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- If tech has a CDL road testing vehicles may be required.
- Participate in manufacturersponsored training programs schools and events.
- Attain industry certifications as required.
- Keep abreast of manufacturer updates and technical bulletins.
- Mentor lessskilled technicians as assigned.
- Report machinery and equipment defects and malfunctions to department management.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Maintain and be accountable for all dealershipowned tools and equipment including returning to proper storage location when done.
- Understand keep abreast of and comply with federal state and local regulations such as EPA OSHA and DOT.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Report any safety issues to management immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned
