Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Data Validation Specialist to join our remote team. In this role you will ensure the accuracy consistency and integrity of data across multiple systems. Youll be responsible for identifying and resolving data discrepancies supporting QA efforts and working closely with analysts and engineers to maintain clean reliable data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate large data sets for accuracy and completeness across internal systems and databases
Perform regular data quality checks to identify duplicates inconsistencies and formatting errors
Use SQL queries and Excel functions (e.g. VLOOKUP pivot tables) to audit and reconcile datasets
Document validation procedures log errors and communicate issues to relevant teams
Collaborate with data engineers and QA analysts to support data migrations system updates and integration tests
Contribute to the development and improvement of data validation rules and automation processes
Required Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and checking data integrity
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas data filters conditional formatting)
Familiarity with data cleaning techniques and validation processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn tools like Python Google Sheets or Tableau
