The Engineering Test Hardware Operations team supports Product/Test Engineering and Production Teams activities in Santa Clara MAPL and OSAT locations worldwide. Our primary function is to design develop evaluate and maintain various types of test equipments and associated hardware to be used in the manufacturing and testing products ranging from Automotive Enterprise Data Center and Hyperscale product lines. Interfacing with various operational manufacturing teams to provide the best quality products to our customers.

What You Can Expect

This position is to support the Engineering Test Hardware Operation teams to help Design Develop and implement production test hardwares. This position is responsible for working with the product engineering groups and hardware vendors in defining new hardware/equipments that suits manufacturing and testability needs for New Product Introductions (NPI) Be involve with Hardware/Equipment thermal and mechanical improvements in the Engineering and Production test manufacturing floors. This team member will also be working closely and communicating with our hardware Test Operations Engineering teams in implementing new processes in Marvell US Marvell Singapore and OSAT locations.

Marvell utilizes a range of Test equipment hardware platforms to develop and test the various Automotive Enterprise Data Center and Hyperscale product lines. The Test Hardware Operations group develop/design evaluate and maintain these test platforms as well as other equipment to support production test operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design Develop Implement and optimizing test equipments that involves heat energy thermal interface such as automated test handlers and thermal systems.

  • Implement systems/processes to efficiently manufacture and test products.

  • Analyze heat map of new integrated circuits/silicon and look for potential issue as well as identify Hotspots

  • Drive thermal solution from our suppliers / vendor to resolve heating cooling issue for ATE and SLT testing

  • Sourcing/Design validation of new Test Hardware including Change Kit Load board Sockets Etc.

  • Identify and solve mechanical/Thermal related challenges and resolve problems on new test equipments thermal systems change kit load board sockets often using computational and simulation tools.

  • Active participation is new product hardware development

  • The role requires handson experience in developing thermal and mechanical solutions.

  • Participate in new product test equipments and thermal hardware releases (evaluation analysis and Monitoring) on NPI and MPR activities

  • Active participation with Hardware Design Teams in new product hardware design development and implementation processes

  • Must be able to work in a multitasking fast face teamoriented working environment.

  • Strive to drive projects into an efficient and timely completion.

  • The individual will also be working with and communicating with our hardware Test Operations engineering teams in US and Singapore

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5 years of related professional experience. Masters degree and/or PhD in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3 years of experience.

  • 3 years professional experience in the manufacturing and test operations environment.

  • Candidate with strong thermodynamics heat transfer and energy conversion experience

  • Candidate with strong mechanical engineering background is required

  • Experience in design development and implementation of mechanical and thermal components that pertains to IC test equipments

  • A strong knowledge in physics mathematics and mechanical understanding principles

  • Knowledgeable with Testhardware which includes Probe Cards Sockets Load boards and Change kits is a plus

  • Specialized experience in optimizing test equipments that involves heat energy thermal interface such as automated test handlers and thermal systems.

  • Able to Identify and solve thermal or mechanical related challenges and resolve problems on new test equipments using computational and simulation tools.

  • Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills; this position requires lots of interactions with other groups and hardware vendors

  • Selfdriven individual able to work with minimal supervision

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

$ per annum

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on jobrelated skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
