Job Description

Your role at St John of God Accord

We are seeking applications from Senior Occupational Therapists (Grade 3 to join our Accord team on a permanent fulltime basis.

The Grade 3 Senior Occupational Therapist is a clinical expert who is responsible for leadership within the discipline and clinical specialty. With advanced reasoning and clinical skills and currency of professional knowledge the Grade 3 is expected to lead and develop individuals and teams and will ensure that the relevant clinical services demonstrate excellence quality current evidencebased practice and the highest level of patient satisfaction and caregiver engagement.

The Position

  • Provides clinical services to people living with disabilities and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced Occupational Therapy practice skills.

  • Comfortable working in a billable hours environment

  • Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties. This requires liaison with the administration team reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.

  • Patients/clients plans and outcomes are regularly monitored through attendance at and participation in clinical team meetings as required.

  • Active participation in the multidisciplinary team.

  • Referrals to external agencies are initiated in a timely manner.

  • Uses an evidencebased problemsolving approach to clinical care and service development.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist with a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The ideal candidate will have extensive and advanced clinical experience in Occupational Therapy particularly within the relevant healthcare NDIS & disability service settings and a proven track record of managing complex patient cases.

Successful applicants must hold a current Victoria Drivers Licence First Aid & CPR NDIS screening clearance and Working with Children Check.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $114180 to $128196 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 11.5 Superannuation

  • Permanent fulltime or parttime minimum 0.6 FTE 22.8 hours per week)
