Job Description

Maintenance Worker

Hybrid 4:1

Houston TX

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager maintains the company facilities in manner that provides a safe comfortable and productive work environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Relying on standardized instructions and preestablished guidelines this role is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are routine in nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all coffee bars and restrooms are fully stocked with needed supplies.
  • Maintain all entrances to the facility ensuring buildings are polished cleaned and presentable.
  • Ensure the parking lot and front and back entrance areas are clean.
  • Replace light bulbs throughout the facility as needed.
  • Advise Facilities Manager if a repair company is required.
  • Assist with building maintenance issues such as repairs to plumbing air conditioning and electrical issues.
  • Accompany all vendors and repairmen while working in the facility.
  • Assist employees with internal relocation by moving and arranging furniture.
  • Maintain inventory in coffee bars and for building maintenance supplies.
  • Must be oncall 24 hours for all building issues.

Position Knowledge Skills and Requirements

Education

Minimum

High School or GED

Maintenance electrician license issued by Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).

Experience

Up to two years of building maintenance and repair experience

Other

  • Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles practices and procedures
  • Basic understanding of electrical plumbing and carpentry
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer serviceoriented
  • Must be organized detailoriented selfmotivated and possess the ability to multitask

  • Overtime hours required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • May be required to move for extended periods of time
  • Required to push/lift up to 60 pounds
  • Required to climb ladders
  • May be required to bend at wait sit kneel climb walk and/or crouch
  • May occasionally be required to operate tools and electrical devices such as power drills leaf blowers etc.
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus such as required to read a computer screen
