DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will participates in a oneyear formal and onthejob training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer (Hydraulic). You will analyze permit applications and waiver requests. In this position you will be reviewing engineering problems ranging from simple to complex problems in hydrologic and hydraulic design of structures to ensure compliance. The Civil Engineer Trainee conducts detailed review and analysis of erosion and sediment control and post construction stormwater management plans. The person in this position also conducts inspections of permitted dams and those under construction and prepares timely written inspection reports on the current conditions status and progress.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Fulltime employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) parttime up to 3 days a week. In order to telework you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Meadville.
- Salary:Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $64861.00(before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Four years of civil engineering experience and an EngineerinTraining certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- A bachelors degree in civil engineering or in a closely related field which includes or was supplemented by major course work in civil engineering; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes possession of an EngineerinTraining certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Conditions of Employment:- This position also requires possession of a valid drivers license which is not under suspension.
Other Requirements:- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
