JOB GOAL: Perform specific procedures and duties to assist in ensuring a neat and clean appearance throughout the facility and to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain a safe and clean cafeteria by cleaning all spills drops and messes
2. Wash all cafeteria floors and walls near the trash barrels.
3. Move all chairs and tables and wash the cafeteria floors with a scrubbing machine.
4. Periodically as assigned by the management strip and refinish cafeteria floors.
5. Paint walls in the cafeteria and replace any missing lights.
6. Remove foreign materials by hand or sweep/dry mop floors and stairs.
7. Wash classroom and hallway floors using a mop and bucket or automated machine.
8. Buff classroom and hallway floors using hand buffers or automated machines.
9. Use a hand machine and automated machine to strip or heavily scrub floors when needed.
10. Apply finish by hand with a mop.
11. Move furniture when needed to do floors.
12. Care for equipment used in floor care.
13. Collect trash and dispose of it in the dumpster.
14. Clean up spills floods or accidents on floors
15. Refill water coolers with cups and towels.
16. Shovel snow or spread salt/sand as needed.
17. Empty baskets and replace liners.
18. Clean glass on frames windows tables.
19. Wash walls.
20. Vacuum carpets as assigned.
21. Pick up trash/litter on school property as needed.
22. Keep areas around dumpsters neat.
23. Clean water fountains.
24. Dust various areas as assigned.
25. Use an extractor to clean stains on carpets.
26. Plunge drains/toilets as needed.
27. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
28. Consistently meet the minimum performance standards as determined by the Plant Manager at a competent and dependable level.
29. Report to work on time and as scheduled.
30. Effectively support and interact with all levels of staff in a businesslike and respectful manner.
31. Communicate with students with respect and dignity.

Qualifications:

• Lift without assistance on a frequent basis.

• Pull/push wheeled housekeeping carts throughout the buildings.

• Bend stoop climb reach push pull use full body mechanics including hands fingers and feet.

• Stand/ sit for periods of time as the task requires.

• Withstanding variations of temperature range of noise and varying odors.

• Have good vision hearing and ability to take and understand instructions.

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
