Keith Borer Consultants is a leading name in Forensic Science Consultancy and Expert Witness services. We are looking for a dynamic selfstarter who is passionate about digital technology and wants to start a career as a digital forensic scientist.
The position on offer is full time based at our office in Durham and comes with onthejob training that will be tailored to need and experience. Duties will include:
Communicating directly with customers to establish requirements and provide estimates
Extraction processing and analysis of digital evidence in area/s of specialisation including mobile phone and cloudbased evidence.
Preparing written reports which are accurate and easy to understand
Peer reviewing the reports of colleagues
Advising Counsel preparing joint expert statements and presenting evidence at Court
Assisting in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation
Contributing to wider company practices such as auditing and test witnessing
To be considered for this role you will likely have a computing or digital forensics degree be organised and diligent selfmotivated organised and able to take responsibility for your own workload. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills be a critical thinker and have good attention to detail. The ability to work efficiently and effectively irrespective of deadline is essential.
The standard working week for a full time employee is 37.5 hours worked Monday to Friday with hours to be agreed between 08:00 and 17:30. Travel throughout the UK Republic of Ireland and occasionally further afield is to be expected; flexibility will be required to accommodate this. A full UK driving licence is required.
