Southern Tennessee Regional Health System has an opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team.
A Joint Commission accredited hospital Sothern Tennessee Regional Health System serves the patients of southcentral Tennessee with two locations (Winchester and Sewanee).

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Under the direction of an RN or MedSurge Charge Nurse contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
Assists RN with development of plan of care.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
Monitors documents and communicates patients status and reactions to interventions with RN physician patient and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attends and participates in staff meetings inservice projects and committees as assigned.
Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.
Works scheduled shifts including overtime when necessary.
Accepts all call schedule as directed.
Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.
Compliance to the STRHS Standard of Behavior is required.
Compliance to Dress Code Standards.

Reports to the Director of their assigned department.
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Licenses
LPN License for the State of Tennessee.
