Job Description

We are an employeeowned supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home.

We support adults & young people with learning disabilities Autism physical disabilities support with and positively respond topeoples behaviours.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a wonderful young person who lives in their own home. They have Autism & Learning Disability & are supported to communicate their wishes & needs they are Deaf and require their staff to be fluent in BSL. They like structure & routine in their day & enjoy a range of activities such as visiting new places going on walks going to the park. We need support staff who will work with the person for the long term to build trust & strong relationships with them. We need positive loyal committed staff who are fun & enjoy having a laugh & being a little silly to enrich their live.

We are recruiting a FullTime Support Worker in Gateshead this role requires a qualification of level 2 or above BSL (British Sign Language). Or your background is such that you are fluent in BSL

14.20per hour & 109 per sleep in average annual salary 35200(based on 40 hours a week and 1 sleep a week)This role involves working weekends evenings sleep ins.

  • You are Person centred & believe in & practice inclusiveness
  • Experience of working with individuals who have behaviours that may challenge
  • Effective BSL communication skills
  • Have a clean UK driving licence

This support worker role is subject to Enhanced DBS check. We cannot offer any VISA Sponsorships.
