Position Summary
Argus Properties is hiring Class 1 Drivers to support our growing team in Kelowna BC. Working under the direction of the Site Superintendent you will be responsible for the safe operation of all company vehicles driven between multiple job sites as required. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability.

Working under the direction of the Site Superintendent you will be responsible for the safe operation of all company vehicles driven between multiple job sites as required. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Safely operate gravel truck water truck 550 flat and other company vehicles as required.
- Experience operating a Telehandler is considered an asset
- Conduct thorough preuse safety inspections and perform preventative maintenance
- Clean and maintain equipment (interior cab and exterior)
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Document and log work and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size weight route designations etc.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects accidents or violations
- Adhere to company health and safety program and OHS regulations
- No smoking in any of the equipment and no garbage left in the equipment
Requirements:
- Maintain valid Class 1 drivers license
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours
- Extensive knowledge of applicable rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic weather conditions etc.
- Excellent physical fitness with ability to lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills
