Position at Vassar Brothers Medical Center

Summary: Following a medically prescribed physical therapy program evaluates treats and educates neonate pediatric adolescent or geriatric patients who have disabilities traumatic injuries pain disease or any dysfunction and helps them reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Job Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from an accredited physical therapy school with a B.S. or M.S. degree.
Experience: New graduates welcome!
License: New York State license or eligibility with temporary permit.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
