Job Description
Job Summary:
Richland School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls Basketball Coach for both the junior high and high school teams. The coach will be responsible for developing players skills fostering teamwork and promoting a positive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate will emphasize sportsmanship discipline and personal growth while striving for athletic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead team practices conditioning and game strategies.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills and advanced techniques.
- Supervise athletes during practices games and travel.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Communicate effectively with players parents and school administration.
- Ensure compliance with school district and state athletic regulations.
- Coordinate with the athletic director regarding scheduling budgeting and program needs.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship leadership and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in basketball (preferred).
- Knowledge of basketball rules strategies and player development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor studentathletes.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience coaching at the junior high or high school level.
- Experience working with studentathletes in an educational setting.
