Job Description

Job Title: Liverpool City Council Safeguarding Service Social Worker
Location: Liverpool
Pay Rate: 42

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Safeguarding service based in Liverpool Council.

What will your responsibilities be

  • Protecting Individuals from Harm: Ensure that vulnerable individuals including adults and children are protected from harm abuse and neglect.
  • Recognising Signs of Abuse: Identify signs and symptoms of various types of abuse including physical emotional sexual and financial abuse.
  • Conducting Assessments: Complete assessments under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act and undertake Section 42 (S42 Safeguarding Enquiries.
  • Collaborating with Other Agencies: Work closely with other organizations and professionals to prevent and stop both the risks and experiences of abuse or neglect.
  • Supporting Clients: Assist individuals and families in meeting some of lifes biggest challenges empowering them to improve their lives.
  • Maintaining Records: Keep accurate and detailed records using both manual and electronic systems.
  • Balancing Safety and Choice: Balance the right to be safe with the right of the individual to make informed choices and to have their wellbeing promoted at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a full UK license.
  • Postqualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
