Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and train drivers ensuring adherence to company policies safety procedures and performance expectations.
Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual equipment budget staying within approved limits.
Act as the liaison between dispatch and drivers to ensure efficient communication of daily schedules equipment needs and service requirements.
Conduct sitin driver training to evaluate driving habits including fuel efficiency and safety.
Regularly perform driver evaluations and reviews.
Maintain strong courteous and prompt communication with customers to resolve any service issues.
Track and document service or driverrelated issues including any necessary disciplinary action.
Approve driver vacation requests and manage scheduling.
Maintain inventory of necessary supplies including sourcing vendors and managing supply chains.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper upkeep of vehicles including safety devices lighting and other essential equipment.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment reporting any safety issues to management immediately.
Ensure drivers receive necessary training in line with company policies and industry standards.
Conduct investigations into accidents involving company vehicles.
Resolve internal service issues in a timely costeffective manner reporting customer service concerns and solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
23 years of supervisory experience preferably with commercial or frontend vehicles.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to conduct pre and posttrip vehicle inspections.
Experience in accident investigations.
Operations/transportation experience preferably in waste management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word and database management).
Flexibility to work varied hours with some travel as needed.
