Qualified applicants must possess a strong focus on patient and family centered care team communication time management and evidence based practice. Candidates will have the opportunity to support both acute care and outpatient areas.

Job Summary:
Responsible for assessment diagnostic and /or treatment services to any person when so ordered by a physician dentist or podiatrist. Treatment is provided through the employment of physical means such as therapeutic exercise heat water electricity massage ultrasound and the use of rehabilitative procedures and devices. Will assist with acute outpatient and pediatric populations.
What Youll Need:
- Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure.
- CPR Certification every two years.
- Valid NC drivers license.
What Youll Do:
- Responsible for the performance of specialized tests such as manual muscle testing goniometry and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient family and other health personnel.
- Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members. Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
- Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the childs strengths and weaknesses; work may be performed in homes agencies preschools or clinics.
- Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neurodevelopmental and sensory motor therapy developmental stimulation home programming equipment demonstration or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
- Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient. Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
- Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance. Attend relevant workshops and update instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for population served.
- Attends scheduled staff CDSA or other committee meetings as needed.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
