Job Description

The High Point University Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy Department of Clinical Sciences in collaboration with Resilience High Point/The Bridge invites applications for a oneyear geriatrics academic pharmacy fellow. This fellowship focuses on geriatric care in an ambulatory setting while developing academic pharmacy skills to prepare the fellow for a successful career in academia as junior faculty. The pharmacist fellow will teach PharmD students while providing service to the School of Pharmacy University and greater High Point community. They will maintain a clinical practice through the Senior Medication Care program at The Bridge in High Point which is a pharmacistled service that offers medication management copayment assistance Medicare counseling and tailored community referrals for older adults in the community. The fellow will help expand the Senior Medication Care programs capacity to serve older adults and improve medication access for older adults in High Point. Additionally they will participate in experiential teaching with pharmacy students as part of a didactic elective course at the clinical practice site. The estimated effort for this individual will be 10 research 30 teaching and 60 service at the practice site.
