Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. degree from an ACPEaccredited school is required
- Candidates should be eligible for pharmacist licensure in North Carolina
Experience and Training:
- Completion of a pharmacy practice (PGY1 residency with an emphasis in Geriatrics Ambulatory Care or Community Pharmacy or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience in these areas of pharmacy practice is preferred
- Experience working with students as a preceptor or through a teaching certificate is preferred
Knowledge Skills Ability:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Skill dealing with a varied group of people
- Ability to write scholarly documents
- Ability to work in electronic medical records and
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate in the Senior Medication Care program with program leadership to enhance services in the community through clinical interventions and outreach quality improvement initiatives and education.
- Develop and teach content within the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy integrated curriculum
- Serve as liaison between the School of Pharmacy and the Senior Medication Care program in the High Point community
- Participate in scholarly work and present research findings through publication in peerreviewed journals and at regional or national meetings as allowed by the allocated research effort.
- Advance the service missions of the School of Pharmacy and High Point University to meet community needs. Act as a representative and advocate for the department both within the University and externally.
- Participate in committees within the Clinical Sciences department Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy and University and participate in professional and governmental organizations as appointed
- Abide by University and Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy policies.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the program director
