Job Description
Company:
Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate Electrical Mechanic to join our F15 EPAWSS team in San Antonio TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
- Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires coaxial cables and fiber optic wiring
- Understand wire handling and routing instructions
- Performsealing wrapping bonding tying and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair
- Adhere to government and company procedural guidance perform assembly installation visual inspection of physical characteristics modification of wire bundles & electrical assemblies operational and quality checks of aircraft work
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems at the organizational or depot maintenance level
- Perform aircraft bench and/or flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance with DOD manufacturer company supplier and other directives
- Perform assembly installation checkout physical characteristics operational testing and modification of wire bundles in the testing development and modification of aircraft in accordance with DOD manufacturer company supplier and other directives
- Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product tools and equipment
- Use precision measuring instruments gauges tools etc. to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements
- Familiar with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications to ensure working environment is deemed safe for access and on the job performance
- Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3 years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
- 3 years of experience with shop practices electrical/electronic theories and systems
- 3 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings technical orders process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair
- Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with F15/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance
- Ability to operate a forklift mobile crane and riding type electric powered elevating equipment

Summary Starting Pay Rate: $75000 / $36.06 per hour
Additive Pay:
$1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification
$1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
