Job Description
Miles River Middle School is looking for a Special Education teacher. The successful Special Education teacher candidate will work in partnership with parents students and school staff in accordance with the HamiltonWenham Regional School District mission and vision while complying with Federal and State regulations in order to promote student :Serve as liaison for designated caseload. Duties include but are not limited to:Complete all associated paperwork (monitoring student performance data collection writing IEPs/progress reports etc.)Maintain communication between teachers specialists families and any outside providers Implement direct/explicit instruction across content areas using multisensory teaching differentiated strategies and languagebased techniques. Promote and assist in the implementation of researchbased strategies to ensure the transition and generalization of students academic and social skills throughout the school appropriate classroom management strategies including a comprehensive positive behavior intervention system to ensure a successful and motivating instructional environment within the classroom and throughout the a multidisciplinary approach to gather various sources of information for progress monitoring in order to routinely implement databased decisionmaking practices to guide instruction and lesson supervision of program student and staff schedules to ensure compliance with IEP requirements and the efficient use of other duties as determined by building Principal and/or Director of Student Services.
