Job Description
Position Title: Dentist 1099
Pay rate: $115/hr 1099
Shift hours: 8:30a4:30p
Client: The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice
Address: 4900 Broad River Road Columbia SC 29212
Duties:
Examine and Diagnose using xrays including Panorex Bitewing Periapical films
Place composite fillings
Provide local anesthesia
Place sealants
Provide dental prophylaxis exam fluoride
Possible calculus debridement when necessary
CrownsPFM or gold (we utilize a dental lab for fabrication of crowns)
Simple extractionswe have the equipment however all extractions may be referred out.
Create review and update dental policies/procedures
Serve as Dental Director
Serve on the SCDJJ medical committee
Note: Third molar extractions root canals and existing orthodontics are referred out.
We have a fulltime dental assistant onsite who will assist in all procedures. fully equipped dental clinic with newly
acquired equipment necessary to perform dental procedures.
Certification:
The certification is that they must be licensed to practice dentistry in SC and their license issued by The State Board of
Dentistry.
Schedule:
The hours are negotiable; however the preferred schedule would be 3 days a week 8:304:30. We have flexibility on the
days and some flexibility on the times.
