ABOUT THE COURT
Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Courts 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4800 fulltime Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $1 billion. Located in Southern California Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nations largest counties covering 4752 square miles and with overresidents is also one of its most populous counties.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Financial Evaluators are responsible for collecting information through interviews and other investigative means and for analyzing this information to determine the responsible parties ability to pay Courtassessed costs. Incumbents are expected to carry out responsibilities with a significant degree of independence exercising sound judgment quality customer service and confidentiality. TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES
This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period contingent upon the Courts needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To qualify you must meet the following requirements at the time of application:
Graduation from high school or G.E.D equivalent AND at least two years of experience performing financial evaluations and assessments of ability to pay.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following desirable qualifications:
EXAMINATION INFORMATION
PART I: Qualifying evaluation of education training and experience based upon submitted application materials and supplemental questionnaire.
PART II: Online examination weighted 100 covering conscientiousness composure drive for success service professionalism ability to follow instructions customer focus as well as numerical abilities including understanding of the order of operations and the ability to to perform numerical calculations and identify errors in calculations.
