Apprentice Fitter/Machinist Any Stage!
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
JLM Line Boring & Engineering specialize in on site machining and precision engineering of mobile and fixed plant. With over 30 years of machining experience JLM work for a number of large companies within the mining civil construction and manufacturing industries.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Were on the lookout for an apprentice to join their team! You could be a beginner that has recently completed a Certificate II in Engineering Preapprenticeship or a current apprentice looking for their next challenge.
Key duties may include:
- Measuring and setting up jobs
- Machining to tolerances
- Mig Welding
- Learn and understanding drawings
The ideal candidate:
- Comfortable to ask questions
- Good communication skills
- Excellent work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Be able to work individually and in a team
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Ability to perform tasks safely and within tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Hardwork and cando attitude
- Ability to work over time if needed
- Drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Preapprenticeship (desirable not essential)
