Job Description
Coperion is currently seeking a Welder to support our location in Whitewater WI. There is a lot of room for growth in other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment a very clean production floor and great people to work with!
Schedule: 1st shift MondayThursday 6am3pm & Friday 6am Noon
Responsibilities:
- Performs welding and/or fitting setup and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products
- Basic ability to read prints tolerances and job requirements
- Cleans and/or grinds welds
- Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean safe and orderly work environment
- Checks of quality of welds repairing as needed
- Performs basic use of grinders bevellers torches and other standard welding equipment
- Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S
- Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards work instructions and procedures
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Welding Certificate or 3 or more years welding experience
- Prior TIG Welding required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with blueprint reading
- Ability to multitask
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
- Dependability a must
- Blueprint and Schematic Reading required
