JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the direction of crew activities on job site according to preestablished schedules standards and procedures to provide a high quality of service as directed by Ancillary Manager or Production Manager. This position supervises a crew of typically two to six crew members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- At least 35 years of commercial landscape experience required
License or Certification
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed is strongly preferred
- Pesticide License issued by the state where employed or ability to obtain within one year
Specialized Skills
- Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment and tools
- Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
- Ability to motivate and lead subordinates
- Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
- Ability to communicate in English / Spanish
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members and Area Manager
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred but not required
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
- Deal with standardized situations with occasional variables

- Constantly required to talk hear see sit stand and walk
- Must be able to see at close vision distant vision peripherally have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to drive a vehicle with passengers and at time a trailer attached short and long distances throughout the workday
- Frequent use of hands to manipulate handle or feel objects tools or controls
- Frequently required to reach bend twist stoop crouch climb and balance on surfaces that may be narrow and/or slippery
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequently exposed to loud noise levels
- During COVID10 pandemic must have the ability to wear face coverings while performing work and throughout the workday (dependent upon orders in each geographic region)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Understand and Implement job specifications for each site
- Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including but not limited to sod plant boulder stump soil and bark installation replacement and/or removal; debris removal; drainage installation; trench digging.
- Safe operation of landscape equipment including but not limited to: ditch witch wheelbarrows power tools backpack blowers chipper stump grinder riding lawn mower bobcats tractors and bull dozers.
- Report equipment in need of repair
- Supervise safe loading and unloading of equipment
- Assist with initial and ongoing training of crews
- Discuss job site observations with manager on a regular basis
- Ensure adherence to company policies
- Develop and maintain a positive work relationship with manager and team members.
- Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
- Perform minor irrigation repairs and maintenance
- Perform minor infield maintenance and repairs of equipment
- Evaluate crews performance on a consistent basis and report to manager
- Facilitate conflict resolution between crew members
- Other duties as assigned

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Pay range: $ 22.50 $28.00
