Job Description

Stabil Drill A Superior Energy Services Companyis a global company that provides tough durable tools to support the energy industry in some of the most demanding drilling applications. Stabil Drillis currently seeking a FullTimeShop Technician to join our team in Houston TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle tools repair and reassemble for jobs.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness pressure washing maintenance and proper disposal of debris on property. Including general shop breakroom & cleanup.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment while operating a forklift.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Shop organization and supply storage. Including daily and weekly inventory.
  • Receiving and distribution of supplies.
  • Assist with the movement of tools.
  • Assist in daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • May operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries.
  • Follow established safety policies and procedures.
  • On a rotation basis will be required to be on call when scheduled.
  • Ensure full awareness of and compliance with the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.
  • Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate to maintain the efficient running of the department.

Education/Experience/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Current knowledge of equipment materials and practices used in the oil/gas industry.
  • Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
