Bus Driver 1012 hours per week $30/hour Position Summary We are looking for an experienced bus driver and substitute bus driver to join our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley during the school year (September to June). The Bus Driver position will provide transportation of youth Club members from assigned schools to the Boys & Girls Club of Appleton or Menasha daily. Position requires 1012 hours per week MondayFriday 2:454:30 PM. The Bus Driver may also be required provide transportation to and from special events and summer programs as needed. Responsibilities Transport children from school to the Boys & Girls Club during afternoons Always maintain a clean bus Obey all traffic laws Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route Ensure safety of all youth Ensures that all transportation routes are completed in a safe professional manner adhering to the procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley Discipline children when required to maintain a safe and healthy environment and notifying the Branch Director immediately if problems occur with members. Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required Attend employee meetings as requested. Ensure that the Club is promoted in a positive manner. Position requires a valid Commercial Drivers License from the State of Wisconsin. License must have P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsement Additional Responsibilities The Bus Driver must complete and clear a background check and drug screening Complete assigned work within the framework of established due dates guidelines and policies. Check and/or monitor Club email; daily. Complete timesheets accurately and submit on time. Address issues and concerns with other staff Club processes supervisors programs volunteers or any other matters promptly and in a professional respectful and courteous manner. Must adhere to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley attendance policy Qualifications A High School Diploma or equivalent. CDL license required Wisconsin State Drivers License 1 years experience driving a school bus No atfault traffic accidents in the last 5 years None of the following traffic violations in the last 5 years: - Operating under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance
- refusal to submit to chemical testing
- reckless driving
- any offenses enumerating under State Statute 343.32 (mandatory revocation)
Ability to carry out assigned route on time Excellent communication skills 2 years working with children preferred Basic knowledge of behavior management techniques and CPR/First Aid. Ability to exude confidence and maintain control of a safe environment for youth. Ability and desire to work with youth age 6 to 18.
