Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Product the Senior Product Manager will join a dynamic and fastpaced environment and work with crossfunctional teams to design build and rollout franchise strategies for our licensed product lines that deliver on the companys vision and strategy.
This role will be critical in achieving company vision and values by collaborating with publishing development and finance stakeholders to align sound business plans franchise development strategies and marketing executions for product delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in game development and/or product management a strong business acumen and an obsession with high quality video games.
Essential Functions:
- Drive IP franchise strateg(ies) including business case development and players needs to deliver high quality video games and postlaunch content
- Partner with product team & project leads to implement longterm franchise strategy with forecasted products and postlaunch content providing strategic guidance to adjust roadmaps if scope changes
- Work closely with marketing creative and sales teams to maximize market impact for our franchise(s) in a way that aligns with the company values providing plans for how to maximize success postlaunch
- Accountable to company leadership for delivering franchise strategy aligned to business objectives
- Ability to assess and problemsolve escalated project(s) concerns within each franchise in alignment with the company values vision and strategy
- Work closely with IP holders for greenlight and preproduction to ensure brand standards are set for a predictable roadmap and approval timeline
- Be a public evangelist for the product(s) & franchise as they relate to products including speaking in interviews and other public forums
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 8 years of experience in product management with previous experience in a video game production/product role
- 5 years of experience in video game development
- Experience managing small teams in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to estimate propose and validate business cases budgets P&L (profits & losses) and the financial risks for video game development and publishing
- Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with all levels of the organization key external partners and external press
- Organized and focused individual with strong problemsolving skills and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions quickly and balance what is right for the company the product the players and the partners
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful franchise throughout its lifecycle
- Skilled at working effectively with crossfunctional teams
