Position Overview

As the Manager Total Rewards & People Analytics you will play a vital role in developing and managing the Associations total rewards strategy including compensation benefits and payroll administration. Reporting to the Director People Leadership & Culture you will oversee the payroll function ensuring accuracy compliance and timely of payroll activities across the Association. Additionally you will lead the development and of people analytics initiatives to provide datadriven insights that inform PLC and business decisions. Your comprehensive strategy will attract and retain talent support a highperformance team culture and ensure that compensation and benefits programs are competitive equitable and aligned with the Associations goals.

What Youll Do

  • Compensation: Lead the Associations compensation strategy ensuring competitive pay structures internal equity and regulatory compliance. Oversee compensation programs including salary structures job evaluations career paths and promotion guidelines. Manage the annual salary review process and ensure adherence to Canadian pay equity legislation and labour standards.

  • Payroll Administration: Oversee the full payroll cycle ensuring accurate and timely processing. Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations conduct audits and manage relationships with payroll service providers. Stay updated on payroll legislation to ensure accurate yearend processing including T4s ROEs and compliance reporting. Provide training and guidance on payroll policies and tax deductions.

  • Benefits Program Management: Design and manage employee benefits programs including health wellness retirement and other offerings. Regularly assess offerings for competitiveness costeffectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Negotiate with external vendors manage total rewards renewals and implement program enhancements to support employee wellbeing. Collaborate with internal teams to administer and communicate benefits effectively.

  • Workforce Data Management: Develop and enhance people analytics capabilities tracking key HR metrics like turnover retention engagement and performance. Provide datadriven insights to leadership using predictive analytics to identify trends and risks. Leverage HRIS and analytics tools to enhance data accuracy and accessibility.

  • People Leadership & Advisory: Lead and mentor a team of professionals fostering growth and high performance. Act as a strategic advisor providing expertise on compensation total rewards and workforce trends. Drive process improvements optimize total rewards offerings and manage stakeholder and vendor relationships. Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on program effectiveness and key workforce metrics.

What Youll Bring

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources Business Administration or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of five 5 years of experience in compensation benefits or total rewards management.

  • Professional designation in one or more of the following: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) Canadian Compensation Professional (CCP) Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll benefits and pension practices standards regulatory guidelines and legislation.

  • HRIS Management experience required.

  • Experience in pay equity developing and maintaining compensation systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking in dynamic environments demonstrating innovative problemsolving skills and a systemic approach that balances strategic thought leadership with handson .

  • Strong leadership skills with emphasis on coaching teamwork development and influencing others.

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to take initiative and prioritize work in a highvolume position.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the Association professionally in interactions with internal stakeholders and/or external communities.

  • Strong change management skills.

  • Access to reliable transportation in order travel to various work locations.

A Major Asset If

  • You have worked in nonprofit charity or public sector organizations.

  • You have a proven track record of implementing successful total rewards strategies in a large organization.

  • You have experience with advanced HR analytics tools and software.

  • You have strong project management skills with experience in leading crossfunctional teams.

  • You are familiar with international compensation and benefits practices.
