What are we looking for
This Senior Project Engineer position is responsible forproviding technical expertise to personnel and operations at the local or regional level; for recommending and managing capital expenditure projects; and for assessing and developing local training. This position is the primary resource for review and approval of test procedures methods and interpretation.

What youll do:
- Provide local management with technical assessment of engineering skills and performance levels.
- Responsible for assessing training of the technical staff and development of new training programs.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance on technical issues test procedures and standards interpretations.
- Research new standards technologies for intentional and unintentional radiators and trends in standards.
- Represent Intertek on technical committees code panels and/or associations.
- Support accreditations activities such as audit followup and corrective actions. Investigate technical complaints.
- Provide complex sales support such as giving presentations during client visits.
- Provide ongoing support to clients as needed.
- Recommend and prepare capital expenditure requests and manage capital projects.
- Mentor less senior technical staff.
- Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- 4 years of experience in a directly related field/industry
- Advanced experience with U.S. Canadian and other international product standards i.e. ANSI CSA UL EN IEC.
- Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

- Ability to work in fastpaced multitasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Must be detailedoriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate up to 50
- A valid drivers license and reliable driving record
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
- Product safety standards related to Industrial or HVAC.
