Job Description

We are seeking a Mechatronics Intern to join our Pueblo Colorado team for the summer of individual will learn how to operate in a real mill setting and interact with plant personnel as well as external suppliers and contractors to execute manufacturing based projects.
- Must passionately follow health and safety practices
- Maintain analyze and draft reports related to data and performance
- Interact with all levels of personnel and communicate professionally in written and verbal form
- Read electrical schematics and perform electrical assembly
- Pneumatic component and controls assembly
- Safety protocol and sensors including light curtains
- PLC programming
- Sourcing and purchasing automation components
- Electro mechanical diagnostic activity
- Working with production to implement new equipment
- Vision System programming to replace human Inspection
- Plan and document control system design test verification and maintenance documents
- Maintain good attendance and perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Pursuing a technical engineering degree
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Suite and Power BI
- Heavy industrial experience preferred
- Be curious and eager/open to learning new skills
- Ability to organize and motivate teams for safe highquality results and maximum productivity preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment which will include inside and outside environmental conditions
Term
- MayAugust 2025 following commencement of Spring Semester
Compensation
- Undergraduate experience $22.55 $24.72 per hour
- Graduate experience $25.41 $26.17 per hour
