Were looking for a great communicator to join TransUnion as an Advisor on our Corporate Affairs & Communication team responsible for external communications in support of our U.S. crisis communications and public affairs programs.
What Youll Bring:
- 5 years relevant progressive experience preferably in a corporate agency government or campaign/political setting
- Bachelors degree
- Exceptional communication skills including ability to write pitch and present compelling content
- A background in policyrelated communications either in or aimed at U.S. legislative and regulatory bodies
Were also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up were happy to support your development in:
- Experience developing media strategy and cultivating reporter/influencer relationships
- Expertise in corporate issues management (or a strong desire to learn) building on preexisting skills that include a track record of leading successful communications responses to highimpact challenges
Impact Youll Make:
- You will help execute the companys communications in response to issues affecting our U.S. business as part of a crossfunctional response team. Youll develop and execute communications strategies help brief executives and monitor and report on communications activities. Youll collaborate on globally relevant matters with colleagues responsible for issues in other TransUnion geographies and occasionally provide backup support to their regions. You will also lead efforts to continuously improve our crisis communication capability through ongoing communication training tabletop exercises and plan refinements.
- Youll serve as a business partner to the U.S. Government Relations team understanding their strategies to promote TransUnions interests with government and regulatory stakeholders and delivering strategic communications in support of that work.
- In all of this work youll help develop communication plans messaging and deliverables that help our stakeholders better understand our company and perspective on topics and issues affecting our business.
- Media relations is a core responsibility and youll be charged with developing productive relationships with key reporters and handling pitches inquiry responses background briefings spokesperson training and media monitoring.
- Youll collaborate with agency and inhouse creative partners providing input to plans and deliverables to help optimize performance and outcomes.
- Youll also work with industry peers our trade association research partners and other third parties to develop communication campaigns and deliverables.
- Periodically you will also support the broader Corporate Affairs & Communications team by contributing to other corporate communication initiatives.
- Our ideal candidate will have strong communication expertise business acumen and people skills and will serve as a trusted communications advisor and business partner. Youre a selfstarter who is energized by challenges and can quickly grasp and translate complex issues or concepts into impactful communications.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as inperson at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $100100.00 $150000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individuals education training work experience jobrelated skill set location and industry knowledge as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.
Regular fulltime nonsales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnions annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for longterm incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
