We are seeking a highly skilled VMWare Migration Architect with deep expertise in VMware and OpenStack to lead our migration initiatives. This role will focus on designing and architecting solutions for migrating workloads from VMware to OpenStack using tools such as Hystax Live Cloud Migration Coriolis or similar solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams stakeholders and customers to ensure a seamless and optimized migration strategy.
Solution Design & Architecture: Develop highlevel and detailed architecture for migrating virtualized workloads from VMware to OpenStack.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and best practices for migration performance optimization and cost efficiency.
Tool Evaluation & Implementation: Assess and recommend migration tools such as Hystax Live Cloud Migration Coriolis and similar alternatives (e.g. CloudEndure Velostrata Morpheus Data or Zerto).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cloud engineers operations teams and business leaders to ensure a successful migration strategy.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all migrations comply with security policies and regulatory standards.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify risks resolve migration issues and optimize cloud environments for performance.
8 years of experience in cloud architecture virtualization or infrastructure design.
Expertise in VMware vSphere ESXi NSX vRealize and OpenStack (Keystone Nova Neutron Cinder etc..
Handson experience with migration tools such as Hystax Coriolis CloudEndure Velostrata Morpheus Data or Zerto.
Strong understanding of networking storage security and automation in OpenStack environments.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible or similar tools).
Strong scripting skills in Python Shell or PowerCLI.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
OpenStack or VMware certifications are a plus (e.g. Certified OpenStack Administrator VCPDCV or similar).
