Job Description
Overview
Performs breast imaging as well as ultrasound and stereotacticguided biopsy procedures. Assists in the technical orientation of crosstrained Radiologic Technologists and instructs them in complex or difficult procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and complex breast imaging and examination procedures following departmental guidelines.
- Performs required quality assurance procedures at the designated intervals.
- Instructs and reviews technical performance of diagnostic technologists. Instructs patients in breast selfexaminations.
- Consistently ensure good patient care comfort safety and confidentiality.
- Utilizes eDH RIS and PACS to perform job functions.
- Maintain a second Mammography registry as required by federallymandated MQSA standards.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical Mammography experience required.
- Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited program; based on ARRT guidelines.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Radiographer NH OR Radiation Therapist NH OR Medical Imaging/Rad Ther NH
- BLS within 30 days
- Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RT R) and Radiologic Technologist Mammography (RT M) within 730 days
