Job Description

Direct Support Professional PRN

*Externalapplicants only*

$17.00 per hour dayshift/$19.00 per hour nightshift

PRN/as needed must work one weekend shift as a part of the 5 shifts per month requirement.

Initial orientation and training requirement of 5 full weekdays in La Grange KY before beginning PRN schedule.

We are a local nonprofit organization founded in 1970 by Louisvillearea parents of people with IDD. What youll do:

The Direct Support Professional provides quality support and care to the Individuals we support; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department as well as other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.

Please note that Cedar Lake Lodge Park Place and Sycamore Run are Intermediate Care Facilities placing us under the CMS Omnibus COVID19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Rule. Under this rule employees must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to employment.

Working Conditions

Staffing ratio of 1:3
Daily living
Personal hygiene
Voicing concerns and issues
Support individuals with setting and accomplishing goals
Creating friendships
Provide companionship and supportive listening
Maintain safe environments for individuals
Perform other related duties as assigned.

What sets you apart:

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age with valid Kentucky or Indiana Drivers License and a clean driving record

Preferred Experience

1 year Caregiving
