Job description
We are currently searching for someone to join our growing team at North East Trailer Services Inc. / Exit Management LLC. Our Maintenance personnel are responsible for repair and maintenance of all building and grounds related matters for commercial buildings and properties. We are looking for a candidate with a diverse mechanical background.
Responsibilities
- Keeping buildings and grounds neat and orderly
- Make necessary repairs as needed to maintain all mechanical items as well as maintaining the grounds.
- Inspect repair and maintain all building and grounds related issues.
- All work is to be done in a safe and timely manner.
- Write work orders for each job completed.
- Monitor the condition of all building and grounds and report as necessary.
- Oversee all outside contractors that may be working on site.
- Ability to work in laborer role frequent lifting sorting bending and working in heavy industrial environment.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to follow all safety guidelines
Skills
- Minimum H.S Diploma or GED plus and a solid mechanical background.
- Experience in basic HVAC minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Selfstarter with the ability to take on new tasks without a lot of supervision.
- Team player. Be willing to help in areas outside of your job description. Pitch in whenever needed.
Physical Requirements
- Be able to effectively communicate with customers vendors and coworkers
- This position is very active requiring standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing all day.
- Ability to use carts forklifts hand trucks pallet jacks and various other equipment
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and/or uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work safely outdoors in various climates all year round
- Exposure to bright lights extreme outdoor temperatures and weather loud noise dust gas and/or fumes.
- The employee will frequently lift and/or move items over 70lbs.
