DescriptionEmbedded Software Architect
The Embedded Software Architect is responsible for all software architectural design for all Garrett EProduct. He will be leading the software architecture considering the stakeholders requirements reusability hardware resources constraints development methodology standards and processes for the automotive embedded software.
Key Job Areas ofResponsibilities
- Differentiated technology :
- Understand the industry trend and familiar with automotive software technologies constantly research evaluate and protoype new solutions.
- Define and align the Software architecture with the software roadmaps and other functions (HW Motor Products Labs)
- Product development:
- Own the software architecture activities acvoss different products and projets and ensure the correct deployment.
- Ensure a high modularity reuse of components and Software plaform development and maintenance
- Support software developers by providing advices and guidances on technical and architectural design choices.
- Support Softawre Leads in detailing software requirements specifications for the software features and assessing the impact on the software architecture and detailed design.
- Review technical designs code for conformance to development standards appropriate design choices.
- Provide technical expertise in terms of software usage functionality performance reuse and technological tradeoffs.
- Standardization
- Assist in defining architectural and design standards to be implemented across all development teams.
- Support in definiting implementating and deploying of new methods tools or processes.
Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience : 8 years automotive software development work experience in Multiple National Companies
Key Skills and Knowledge :
- Strong knowledge in software architecture across different product platforms considering all layers of software using inhouse and/or AUTOSAR architecture
- Strong knowledge in realtime embedded software multicore microcontrollers (IFx TC3x.. compilers and debuggers.
- Strong ability to understand microcontroller hardware and associated schematics
- Experience in Model Based Design integrating hardware and software using protocols (SPI DMA.. serial communication protocal (CAN/CANFD).
- Experience in Automotive SPICE Safety Standard ISO 26262 and cyber security ISO 21434 (preferred)
- Demonstrated bias for action/initiative customer focus and a strong capability to lead in a team environment.
- Proven problem solving skills including ability to interpret data define actions and implement solutions
- Ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
