Job Description

Description:

  • Bring deep expertise in metal castings and machining processes.
  • Own the technical scope of assigned purchased parts from initial concept (NPI) through the full product lifecycle with a focus on quality management.
  • Diagnose and solve complex technical issues with suppliers.
  • Act as the technical liaison for complete purchased parts managing design reviews tooling and configuration updates.
  • Track supplier performance and collaborate with sourcing teams to drive improvement using root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Contribute to supplier selection and qualification as a technical SME including site surveys and evaluations.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering on Concurrent Product & Process Development (CPPD) New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Improvement (CPI).
  • Support FMEA efforts and lead PPAP and FAPITP development.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to resolve Reject Notices (RNs) and Technical Authorization Requests (RTAs).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes including drawing interpretation tooling NDT and testing
  • Experience with metal castings and machining
  • Knowledge of quality management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • High ethical standards and professionalism
  • Experience with Magma soft simulation and pattern design
  • Six Sigma training (Green/Black Belt) and project management skills
  • Strong problemsolving and statistical analysis abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus
  • Familiarity with DOE Lean Manufacturing and component manufacturing processes (turning milling etc.

Benefits:

  • Yearly Compensation $120000 $170000 based on experience
