Job Description

Description:

This role is within the companys protein and salt division where we deliver nutritious premium food products to a diverse group of customers including foodservice providers grocery retailers manufacturers and exporters. This position has openings in the second shift and is a Fulltime contract.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure process reliability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Safely operate and maintain standard tools and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including annual PMs.
  • Read and understand mechanical/electrical schematics.
  • Maintain safety standards correct unsafe conditions and troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Follow safety procedures and assist in developing safety techniques.
  • Use precision tools for troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Ensure LOTO certification and acquire materials/tools for work.
  • Document work orders with details hours and feedback.
  • Communicate passdown issues effectively.
  • Support preventive maintenance for electronic systems.
  • Prioritize tasks troubleshoot and resolve problems methodically.
  • Repair control devices troubleshoot communication issues and use test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes).
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting and programming skills especially with AllenBradley systems.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or GED Equivalent Programming and troubleshooting skills preferably with AllenBradley
  • Be able to troubleshoot PLCs and Ladder logic
  • Be willing to be a part of the Hazmat teamElectrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the state of Michigan
  • 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical & mechanical aptitudeAbility to read & interpret blueprints or other forms of engineering drawings
  • Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints P&IDs singlelines and wiring schematics
  • Ability to work weekend and off shift hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE system
  • Programming and troubleshooting skills with AllenBradley
  • Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
  • Able to effectively use typical test and calibration equipment including RTD calibrators digital multimeters 4 to 20 ma calibration unit etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3phase motor controls 120 VAC and 24VDC control circuits

  • Hourly rate $30 $38.46 based on experience
