This position is open to current Colorado residents only.

The Division of Facilities Management Northern Division

This work unit exists to plan design construct operate maintain and manage the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) facilities and campuses according to all applicable standards in a manner that promotes the CDHS mission of providing a safe sanitary and effective environment for clients youth residents consumers and staff and enhances the quality of life in CDHS facilities and campuses and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital at Fort Logan (CMHHFL) Department of Human Services at 1575 Sherman St. Wheat Ridge Regional Center (WRRC) to include the group homes and the Division of Youth Services (DYS) facilities (Prairie Vista Gilliam Lookout Mountain Campus Marvin W. Foote Mount View Campus and Platte Valley. Provides as needed support to the Veterans Community Living Centers located in the district. Total facilities are approximately 1.9 million sq. ft. at multiple sites within the Northern Region.

Description of Job

Painting:


This is a fulltime inperson essential position. Shift work may be required. Must be available for and respond to call backs to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency in a timely manner.


Essential Positions. Positions that perform essential law enforcement highway maintenance and other support services directly necessary for the health safety and welfare of patients residents and inmates of state institutions or state facilities. Employees in essential positions can be only FLSA non exempt and can be required to work unexpected or unusual work hours to perform the essential and/or emergency services of the department without delay and/or without interruption.


Call Back applies when an eligible employee is required to report to work before the start or after the end of a scheduled shift.



Minimum Qualifications Substitutions Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have four years of professional commercial and/or residential painting experience.

Substitutions:

Education or successful completion of a formalized apprenticeship program that relates to this position will substitute for the required experience on a yearforyear basis. In order to utilize this substitution you must attach a copy of your transcripts/apprenticeship to this job application. Your unofficial transcripts/certification of completion must include your name college/school name type of degree/certification received and date the degree/certification was received/conferred.
